Time for the bells to be rung properly for the first time. About 20 people who had been involved with the restoration project turned up at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon.
After ringing the bells into the upright position, a few simple methods and some call changes were rung, so that everyone could have a go. It was amazing how much easier the bells were to ring and there is still plenty of room in the tower for the ringers, despite the two additional ropes.
